Everyone else has a web site, so I figured, why not me too?
In the beginning . . .
For years I've wanted to have a newspaper column to have my say in the world,
but, let's face it. Who really cares about my li'l ol' opinion? Well, no one. But I don't care. I still have an opinion about
a lot of things and I wanna' climb on my soapbox and be heard.
One of the second things I wanna' put on here are local
restaurant, firehouse chicken BBQ, and local event reviews. I'm tired of those namby pamby reviews in the local paper.
The
first thing is to get cracking on a joint site with a friend. He's writing a book. I'm doing the art. We're developing an
rpg (roleplaying game). The site is www.sarthas.com and I'm excited about this. The novel that the game will be based on is
moving along and several chapters are up. I'm having a little trouble getting him to spell out some of the things we need
to define for the rpg. So... make that a LOT of trouble.
Third.. I'm an former evercrack head. I admit it. I'm hooked
on MMO's We blown through Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot (DAOC), Final Fantasy XI for PC (FFXI), Star Wars Galaxies (SWG)
and Eve Online. Then we beta tested Acclaim's 9Dragons and Turbine's Lord of the Rings Online. That was a year ago. We
dropped 9Dragons. It has a really hateful combat interface, but we have lifetimes on LOTRO. He gets really frustrated with
little things.. like aggro radius and repeating stuns and crows with block skill. Hehe.. how does a crow block? Anyway,
that doesn't bug me so much and we've been playing LOTRO off and on for a year.. and still haven't hit 40 with ANY char. LOL.
I may have to give up work because it's cutting in to my game time.
Fourth: I bought an 1865 pre-Victorian farm house that needs renovated.
Don't you hate when reality interferes with fantasy? And with this puppy, reality hits hard. Anyone know a good historical
restoration consultant? Doesn't matter. I'm too broke paying taxes on it to fix it anyway.
Fifth.. whatever else comes to mind, including e-commerce, auctions,
learning website development and trying to make more money in general. That's why I'm shelling out the "big" bucks for this
site. Hehehe.
ooh oooh.. Sixthy. Re: making more money. My girlfriend started a new business
and I'm helping her with it. She does custom machine embroidery. It's cool.. we really need to get her a good web site. I
need 48 hours days.
That's it for now. Talk to you again soon. Irish
Current Hero: me mom. she's been through a lot - including living with me.
